Meet The Team

Sue Barnes: Physiotherapist, Director.

Grant Gichard: Physiotherapist and IMS/Acupuncture provider.

Sue Barnes

I trained as a physiotherapist at the West Middlesex Hospital, London, U.K and qualified in 1978. After traveling and working in Europe for a few years I came to Canada in 1982 to begin my physiotherapy career. I am a member of the Dale Charles Physiotherapy group, with whom I have worked for over 30 years. For the last 20 years I have managed and provided the enhanced programs for the group, consisting of Work Conditioning Program, Job Site Visits, Return to Work Planning, and Pre-placement screening for local employers. I also provide hydrotherapy services for the clinic group and the React program. I provided weekly on-site physiotherapy at a large Mill in BC for 10 years.

I also work as a Work Health Consultant for Disability Management Institute and provide rehabilitation recommendations to case managers to assist them in providing safe and appropriate claim management and resolution. I am now in my early 60s and I still enjoy working, however, as I approach retirement, I would like to explore a different way to practice. I see home physiotherapy visits as a way to continue to support my Okanagan community.

I am also a certified Yoga instructor and I often incorporate yoga in my treatment sessions.

I am Registered with the College of Physical Therapists of BC (CPTBC). This is the provincial licensing body. Registrant number: 01408.

I have valid Malpractice Insurance.

I am based in Okanagan Falls.
